The Making of a FrankenViolin - Electrifying Eyes

In between (the many) coats of paint, I worked on the other decorative part of the violin: the glowing red eyes! I did some research to see what people used to illuminate skeleton Halloween decorations. I found a set of single LED lights each powered by a 9 volt battery with an on/off switch that could work well. I tried to find a pair of lights powered by a single battery but was unsuccessful. The double single light setup was fine, and I had plenty of room to work with inside the violin. I drilled a small hole in each of the eye sockets, and stuck the LEDs through. I attached the switch and battery packs inside the violin using velcro, so I could easily replace or move the batteries if needed.
